Pastoral / Wellbeing Lead
At Stokesay we are very lucky to have our Pastoral Lead: Ge Upton
Ge is based in the pastoral room at the end of the corridor. Ge supports all the children and their families within our school and can signpost to many local services. Ge is also the wellbeing lead for the staff at school. Children know where Ge is and how to contact her for support. In school Ge supports the children’s wellbeing and works with all the staff to get the best outcomes for all the children so they can thrive academically and emotionally. Ge supports the children with wellbeing and mental health programs within school, supporting managing their emotions and emotional literacy. As part of these programs Ge has trained pupils at the school to be Wellbeing Champions who offer other children support and a listening ear as part of their wellbeing. At Stokesay we all work as a team to ensure that children are supported throughout their time with us. The offer of Early Help can also be signposted for families facing challenging circumstances. Early Help is a non-judgmental supportive service and can help with a variety of issues such as housing, finance, mental health, anti-social behaviour, parenting and personal circumstances. If you would like to contact Early Help direct the number is 0345 678 9021.
