During Spring term Year 3 have been exploring the Antarctic in our Geography topic. Students enjoyed a topic day where we created penguin artwork and plotted Ernest Shackleton's route to Antarctica using grid references.
Our Geography learning tied nicely into our DT project where the children designed and produced their own pneumatic toy in the shape of a penguin.
In Science we have been investigating plants and what they need in order to grow. The children have begun gardening to support their scientific understanding.
