Year 1 had a fantastic day at Blists Hill Victorian Town. They took part in a toys and games workshop where they got to handle and experience toys from the past.
Year 1 have had a great day learning about all the different nationalities within our class. We located the countries on a map and then coloured the flags for each country before making it into a hat.
They also really enjoyed tasting all the different food that the children brought in for everyone.
Year 1 carried out a science experiment to fix a useless umbrella. We discussed how the material needed to be waterproof and then we made our predictions. In pairs children tested the 6 different materials and then we sorted them into those that were waterproof and those that were not waterproof.
