Welcome to Stokesay Primary School

Stokesay on the Radio: Celebrating Ofsted Success and Keeping Cool

Mr Vaughan spoke on BBC Radio Shropshire about Stokesay’s recent Ofsted report and how the school is supporting pupils to stay safe.

We were delighted that Mr Vaughan was invited to speak on BBC Radio Shropshire this week, where he talked about Stokesay Primary School’s recent Ofsted report and how schools are managing during the current spell of hot weather.

During the interview, Mr Vaughan reflected on the positive Ofsted outcome and what it means for our school community. He highlighted how proud we are of our pupils and staff, and how the report recognises the hard work, care and commitment that goes into making Stokesay such a supportive and successful place to learn.

He also spoke about how we continue to build on this success, focusing on providing high-quality learning while making sure every child feels safe, valued and encouraged to do their best.

The conversation also covered the challenges of running a school in hot weather. While the heat can be challenging, our priority remains the wellbeing of all pupils, alongside ensuring that learning continues in a calm and supportive environment.

If you would like to listen to the interview, Mr Vaughan’s segment begins at 11:20 in the programme: https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m002xlnk
